You can make your own profile so that everyone can see your fighting abilities and statistics. You can choose whether this profile is public or not so that you can tell your friends (or fight promoters, sponsors, etc.) to check out your profile at TrainFightWin.com/(YourUserName) and they can see all of your profile fields. This is great for people who are trying to promote themselves, but don't have the time or the inclination to learn how to write HTML code. We have done it for you! We have a complete affiliate program available where you will make 60% of any of the money that you generate from our videos. (Confused about what an affiliate program is? Click HERE!) Our affiliate banners are preloaded with your affiliate link, so that all you have to do is copy and paste the code anywhere in your MySpace page or website. We also have a tool where you can invite people from your email address book so that you can tell all of your friends about us in a few clicks. Your friends are automatically added to your buddy list when they join from your invitation or from your namecard (a personalized profile badge that you can display on your MySpace page or website). My name is Richard Whirley, and I have been involved in jiu-jitsu since 1998. I was trained by Gary Brown and George Allen in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and have competed in tournaments all over the southeast. During my time with Mr. Brown and Mr. Allen, I have developed and progressed my fighting game as well as my demeanor in everyday life. Fighting has been an outlet for me during hard times, a constant for me during good times, and a gateway to friendships that I would have otherwise never had. It was at Eagle Boxing, Kickboxing, and Combat Jiu-Jitsu where I met my training partner and best friend, Kenny Allen. Kenneth Lamar Allen was born on August 5, 1984 and grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Kenny earned one of the very few black belts that Mr. Brown has ever given, and has fought all over the southeast. His tenacious fighting style was a mirror of the way he lived his life outside of the gym. Unfortunately, Kenny was taken by a bullet on December 9, 2003. He is truly missed and remembered.

On May 27th, 2008, I was informed by my instructor, Gary Brown, that I had been promoted to the rank of Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) under his system of Mixed Martial Arts. It has been a long journey (over 9 years) since I started with Mr. Brown, and he has done more to shape my life outside of the ring than inside it. The way that his system of teaching has impacted my life could never be emphasized enough. Thank you, Mr. Brown.

You will notice that the style shown in these videos is not a true Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. That is because our system has been developed specifically for Mixed Martial Arts competition and self-defense. True Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in its core form, depends heavily on a gi and is based largely on points. While it is a phenomenal sport, it is not the sport that we are focusing on with this site. This site and these videos are dedicated solely to developing your game in Submission Grappling and Mixed Martial Arts competition.

My name is Richard Whirley, and I have been involved in Mixed Martial Arts and Submission Grappling for over a decade. This combination of skills has been the pride and joy of my active life- and it was my original intent to share that passion with as many other people as possible through this website. If you are interested in learning more about me, please visit My Profile Page or the About Us page. Also, please take the time to check out Why You Should Choose TrainFightWin.com As Your MMA Provider!

At TrainFightWin.com, we are dedicated to taking your submission grappling game to the next level. We have broken down our system from beginner to advanced, and organized in the same manner as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu belts. Within each belt level, there are several components. These are made up of takedowns, mount, side mount, and guard techniques. Within each of these positions, there are two sweeps, two submissions, and two escapes (three for brown belt and black belt). For instance, in the white belt category you will see two takedowns, two mount bases, two mount submissions, two mount escapes, two side mount sweeps, two side mount submissions, two side mount escapes, two guard sweeps, two guard submissions, and two guard escapes (passes). In the blue belt category, you will receive two different techniques in every position. We explain the setup and process of each technique, and make sure to show you from multiple angles.

However, we do not take the boring route of most instructional tapes that just show you hours upon hours of slow motion garbage. Our videos are short and to the point. Most of our videos are under 5 minutes, so that you can watch them repeatedly without losing interest. Also, we have done what no other instructional series has done. You can view each of the videos for absolutely free, or you can pay to download them to your computer. When you download them, you will receive the video file in multiple formats so that you can actually use it without transcoding it and losing quality. For instance, you can use the wmv file and burn it to a DVD for your home player, and use the mp4 file of that exact same technique and put it directly on your iPod! We want you to actually be able to realistically use the techniques that we have setup for you. For the students who want to be able to watch the videos on their home player, but aren't quite sure how to go about burning the purchased files to DVD, we offer them on a DVD that can be mailed directly to your house! Like we said before- we want you to actually use these resources. We have worked hard to prepare them, and we want you to work hard to improve your skills!

Furthermore, TrainFightWin.com was intended to be the "one-stop-shop" for all of your Mixed Martial Arts needs. We have tried to bring together all of the different resources that every MMA fan and student is interested in, and organize them into one sensible format. We have free fighter profiles for each member, news feeds, instructional videos, discussion boards, training/competiton gear, links to other helpful resources, gym listings, and even offer an Affiliate program that pays 60%! We have tried to offer something for everyone, and hope that you will invite your friends to join you in making a free fighter profile at TrainFightWin.com - The Most Comprehensive MMA Site On The Internet!

If you have any questions, please feel free to check out our FAQs page or to ask me directly through either the MMA Discussion Board or the Contact Us form. I am very involved in the Discussion Board and try to answer each email that I receive personally. I have taken a lot of pride in this website, so I will do my best to try to help you out with whatever I can here. Please familiarize yourself with our many website features, and know that there are plenty of members who are here to help if you need it.

So if you're interested in taking your Submission Grappling and Mixed Martial Arts skills to the next level, get started now by watching the videos that we have prepared for you. If you want to take them with you so that you can use them without having to be at your computer, then please visit the Store for more options. Chuck Liddell (former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion):
"TrainFightWin.com Rules!"

John Hackleman (trainer of Chuck Liddell and head coach at The Pit):
"I just know the guy, he seems like he’s an MMA fan that’s putting out some….  You know, you look at him and at first you think ehhhh, but his stuff is good, you know? It makes sense. It’s kinda "jiu-jitsu-ish" in that a lot of the stuff he address, "Well this and this and this, but the guy might be punching you in your face- and then you gotta do this." And I really like that because a lot of the jiu-jitsu ground stuff doesn’t cover that… and that's a disservice. So I just thought that guy had some cool stuff and he seemed like he’s just like a one-man-show doing this stuff, so I thought "Yeah, We like his shit." It’s good stuff. I was showing Chuck some of his stuff. We did it as a favor to him. You know, help the little guy out."
"I love your videos... Great stuff.    -Pit Master"

Rhadi Ferguson (2004 Olympian, BJJ Black Belt):
"Absolutely phenomenal. Great instruction. Great explanation and just quality all around!!"

JJ O'Regan (Fighters Only Magazine):
"I work for the world's biggest MMA magazine (Fighters Only) and have met and trained with fantastic instructors from all over the world; I have to say, the guy in these videos is brilliant, he is really really good at teaching/breaking things down. Surprisingly so for one so young. - jj o'regan"

Tom Bingel (Owner and Lead Trainer @ Wyoming Shoot Fighting):
While I'll always endorse training under a qualified and competent coach or professor as an aspiring fighter's best option. I can confidently say that the instructional sets offered by TrainFightWin.com are the next best thing to having a coach standing there telling you what to do. The techniques demonstrated are presented in a easy to understand format and from multiple camera angles. If a person applies themselves and masters the techniques offered on this set, they would be a force to be reckoned with on the mat!

George Purcell:
"I think your site is the most informative thing I have ever found on the internet, you really put a lot of work into all your videos and they are in such great detail. The fact that most of them are free is just amazing. This site has definitely taken my grappling to the next level (or two). I appreciate all the hard work you do!"

Dan Ross:
"Thank You so much for Your help with finding the Video package I wanted and with how to download it. Your help was speedy and easily understood. I have really chosen an excellent business and product to work with. You are an excellent instructor and businessman. It is a real pleasure to work with You."

jonny C:
"Amazing videos. Owning various instructional videos from various big names. I can honestly say that these are the most helpful. Having them in order like that is a huge help. The way everything is broken down should be a help for anyone of any level.

After trying to get a friend in to sumission wrestling with me, he was struggling as everyone was much more advanced, although they were all willing teach him, It was too much at once and after I showed him some of these videos, he grasps the concept and the next week came to class and landed a triangle and a paper cutter.

We were all shocked including himself. These videos can be a huge step up, in any ones game."

Tappedurassout:
"Definitely the best young coach I've seen. You give off tons positive energy bro. Keep it up!"

monoforraptunes:

"These are some of the most comprehensive, well thought out videos on the web.  Thank you for all your hard work, these videos are taking my Jiu Jitsu to a whole new level."

equesfuscus:
"It's really admirable the way you incorporate and synthesize techniques from Judo and BJJ with classical Jujutsu and Aikido. It seems you really have a solid all-around system that incorporates more than a "standard" set of MMA skills. It looks like an excellent system to teach to police and also civilians interested in good self-defense."

MikeyHayden:
"Some of the best instructional videos on YouTube."

Malik Lewis:
"My name is Malik Lewis, and I currently train at Freestyle Fighting Academy in Miami, Florida. I just wanted to say thank-you Richard for the instructional videos. Before, the only reason I survived when sparring was because of my take downs (I'm a wrestler in high school}. Every time I would try to engage my opponent in stand-up, I would punch, but all I ever got was air. My sparring partner would beat up on me, until I decided to take him down. I felt really discouraged. Fortunately, I found your "Correct Steps" video on Youtube. I took what you said and decided to implement the movement techniques in my class. That class was the best I ever had! 90% of my punches actually LANDED, and I was able to evade most incoming attacks. I always used to move forward when striking and back when being attacked. I watched all of your striking videos and they are amazing. The amount of videos you have made leaves me in awe. The fact that you took time out of your schedule to make those videos for free just to help people is incredibly generous of you. You are a very, very kind person, Thank-you."

PzKpfw:
"Very good instructor: really easy to listen to."
