I began boxing in 1951 and started studying Martial Arts in 1957 in my hometown of Columbus, Ohio. It was there that I earned my first black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
I trained and studied during a tour in Vietnam in 1970 with the Korean Rock Unit. I returned to Columbus and began teaching children boxing and Martial Arts at the Ohio Youth Commission. I also taught for the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department and was an executive member of the Ohio Amateur Athletic Union?s boxing commission.
I was a professional boxer from 1974-1977 with an overall record of 32-2-0. I trained Bill Douglas, father of Buster Douglas- who held the World Heavyweight Boxing Title.
I came to Georgia in 1979 where I opened my studio, Eagle Karate and Boxing. I have trained nine world champions in full contact karate and boxing. After over forty five years in Martial Arts, I hold several black belts and am declared a recognized Master in several of these styles and systems.
I have (and currently do) training for various law enforcement agencies such as the GBI, GSP, and other city and county agencies using my patented Flood System for law enforcement. |
